Scott M. Cohn is a life-long doodler, his idols being Jim Davis, Gary Larson, MAD Magazine, and a little later, Ren & Stimpy. His first published artwork, a sketch of Dwight Gooden, appeared in Kidsday, a weekly insert in Long Island Newsday (where his father was a writer/editor).
Growing up the son of a journalist, Scott first gravitated towards print in high school, where he was a frequent contributor of comics and features to the school paper, The Horizon. He continued this as an undergrad at Syracuse University for The Daily Orange.
After graduation he moved to Hong Kong with his college roommate, where they started the baby clothes company Bon Bébé. In 2001 he moved to NYC, where he started a new career as a video editor and motion designer at Radical Media. Amongst other things, he created the titles for the 2003 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which was viewed in nine million households across the U.S.A. In 2004 he started a digital content agency where he helped launch MTV2's two-headed dog rebrand, wrote and directed the short film Phished! for Norton Antivirus, and invented Smell Dating for Dial Bodywash.
Scott lives on Long Island with his wife and daughters. His "Daddy" series: Daddy Sat On A Duck and Daddy Said A Word I Never Heard are universally loved classics, read and reread by parents and children alike. He still writes every day.
