Thomas Stutenbäumer

Thomas Stutenbäumer today works as a Senior Consultant at the company ConUti GmbH (www. conuti. de).

He already acts for over 25 years in the area of the IT for utility industries.

After his study of mathematics at the "Westfälische Wilhelms University" of Münster (Germany) he was decisively responsible for the reorganisation of the IT application for a medium-sized public utilities enterprise. He was the project manager for the creation and implementation of an IT strategy with approx. 25 Projects, in which the entire IT of the utility enterprise has been renew within 5 years.

Implementating the IT strategy he was a leader of different projects, for example for the choice of hard and software products as well as the advertising of services, the introduction of SAP-Basic Technologies, the Euro-Conversion of four SAP installations, the introduction of a SAP Business Warehouse, the process optimisation for the payment.

In this time he worked for different professional organisations, published articles about the application of new information technologies and appeared as an adviser during events of the utility industries. Besides, he published a basic articles about the development of the IT and the use of enterprise data models.

With the construction of an IT service provider for utility industries in the first years he has been responsibe for the organisation and IT planning. From this position he built up among other things two new teams for IT services: Energy data management (EDM) and SAP Business Warehouse. His basic works results in implemetations of EDM Systems for several middle and smaller utility companies. He could also successfully realize projects as for example the necessary SAP-release changes.

More than 10 years the author developed ABAP programmes and modified SAP standard.

As an SAP developer he has been responsible for many customer-specific solutions based on SAP ABAP and ABAP/OO. He also performed basic works by the introduction and use of SAP data exchange processes in the deregulated german energy market.

He published his experiences as an ABAP developer in two volumes of the "Practical Guide to SAP ABAP".
