Josh Hayes

Josh Hayes is Professor of Philosophy at Alvernia University and Associate Fellow at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies. He has previously taught at Santa Clara University, the University of San Francisco, and Stanford University.

His publications span the history of philosophy to include ancient Greek philosophy, medieval Islamic philosophy, environmental philosophy, and twentieth-century continental philosophy. In addition to being a founding co-editor of the Journal of the Pacific Association of the Continental Tradition, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Ancient Philosophy Society (APS), the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy (SPEP), the International Association of Environmental Philosophy (IAEP), and the American Philosophical Association (APA).
