Paul Stock

Paul grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and spent formative time in Illinois, Alabama, Colorado and Dunedin, New Zealand before landing as an Assistant Professor in Sociology and the Environmental Studies Program in Lawrence, KS at the University of Kansas. Paul's love of food and agricultural issues stems from a deep and abiding care for justice. His two books with friends and collaborators address both the injustice of the current food systems (Food Systems Failure) and potential pathways forward (Food Utopias). Much of his work is focused on smaller-scale, family-drive, farming projects related to the Catholic Worker movement and new and beginning farmers.
