Amanda Shepherd

Originally from the Seattle area, Amanda lives with her husband, Gary, and her cat, Baby Kat, in the cactus capital, hummingbird state, road runner friendly Phoenix, Arizona.

She is the illustrator of five books - Rules of the Wild, Who Loves Me, Fiona Loves the Night, Such a Silly Baby and Mouse House Tales. She is a frequent contributor to Carus magazines for cool kids. She also participates online in We Draw and Cook, - a website of illustrated recipes for people who love to cook.

Recognized nationally for children’s book art, Amanda has shown her children’s book illustrations at the New York Original Art Show for children’s book illustration in 2005 and 2007. Her work is in the Mazza Museum of Findlay, Ohio, the Burton Barr Library of Phoenix, and the University of Arizona collection of children’s book art.
