Marie Pruvost-Delaspre

Marie Pruvost-Delaspre is Lecturer in Cinema Studies at Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint Denis University since 2017. Her PhD dissertation, conducted at Sorbonne Nouvelle University, focused on the history of the Japanese animation studio Tōei Dōga and the evolution of its production system from 1956 to 1972. She published several articles on anime and the history of animation techniques, and co-authored a number of books in French, such as Japanese Animation in France (2014) or Grendizer the Never-Ending Story (2018). Her first monograph will be The Origins of Anime: Tōei Dōga Studio (PUR, 2021).
