Patrick M. Shanahan is an inspiring writer living in Northern Missouri. His many interests have energized his creative juices and produced numerous literary works.
The second oldest of 13 children, he grew up playing on the streets of Chicago during the '50's and 60's. The big city has a lot to offer about the secrets of life and his character and who he is are reflected from that learning experience.
Patrick’s literary efforts include human interest pieces, children stories, short stories and numerous full length novels. His favorite genre is crime fiction and each story is character driven with a believable plot and numerous twists.
Although mostly fiction his tales are often fed with antidotes from either his life or from others he’s met on life's journey. Those, along with a healthy dose of imagination, often fill the pages of Patrick M. Shanahan manuscripts. Avoiding challenging words and flowery narration, there are never dead spots or skip over pages.
His articles and short stories have appeared in various newsletters, newspapers, short story anthologies, and national magazines. Currently available are THE JUSTICE CLUB, a hard hitting story that spotlights the world of pedophilia, MEMORIES & IMAGINATION, a diverse short story collection, and THE ADVENTURES of BUNNY BUNNY. His screenplay, THEY CALLED HER JANE, a crime story with a female lead character, is being presented and considered by filmmakers.
