Julien M Ogereau

Julien Ogereau is a broadly trained historian of Early Christianity with degrees in Ancient History (PhD, Macquarie University) and Theology (BTh Hons, Sydney College of Divinity), and an Habilitation in New Testament Studies (Universität Wien). His research explores the interpretation of New Testament texts within their socio-historical contexts and early Christian history in the light of documentary sources. To date, his main foci have been the letters written by the apostle Paul to the churches he founded at Philippi and Thessalonica, Christian and digital epigraphy, and the development of Christianity throughout Macedonia and Epirus in the first six centuries CE.
