Paul Meade grew up in Durban on South Africa’s Eastern seaboard. He spent every school holiday on his uncle's dairy farm in Ixopo. He matriculated at Weston Agricultural College in Mooi River in 1976. After two years in the army, he worked as a dairy farm manager in Southern Natal for fifteen years. In July 1995, he joined Groote Post Genetics (now World Wide Sires) as a breeding advisor and sales rep for Natal. His passions are cattle breeding, travel, game viewing, movies, reading, listening to audiobooks, drinking beer with his friends, eating biltong and writing. He lives on a smallholding in Southern Natal, where he runs a small herd of pedigree Black Angus cattle.
