connley landers

In 1947 Connley (Lee) Landers was born in Norman, Oklahoma. Exalting in the convenience he went to The University of Oklahoma. At different times he majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, physical education, psychology, counselling, accounting, nutrition, and creative writing. Without single minded determination he ended up with a Master's degree in nutrition in 1975 and avoided going to Viet Nam or Canada. After eight straight years of college he buried himself in hospitals in Oklahoma teaching Sooner sick to eat better. He coaxed people with chocolate allergies not to eat chocolate, people with peanut allergies not to eat peanuts, and people with lactose intolerance to be more tolerant. After several years he won an award for his first novel, Cat Ethics, and said goodbye to the chocoholics, nuts and intolerant. A judge on the novel award panel wrote,"Your character of Robert Crane is reminiscent of Holden Caulfield in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, particularly in his sarcastic asides...
