Don Papson

Independent Scholar Don Papson is a founder and past president of the North Country Underground Railroad Historical Association (NCUGRHA). He and his wife, Vivian, were awarded the 2012 Underground Railroad Free Press Prize in Leadership for establishing the North Star Underground Railroad Museum at Ausable Chasm, New York, which NCUGRHA has managed for the Town of Chesterfield since 2011. Don is the curator of exhibits for the Museum which annually attracts more than 5,000 people from all over the world.
