He holds licensure in New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Connecticut. Nineteen years ago, while happily married living in Vermont, his wife’s health began to fail. Over the period of two years, her condition and the struggle to find answers took its toll, not only on her condition but on their blended family of five children. His resources, education and experience could not overcome Western medicine’s naive paradigm. In the end, with a broken family and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, Dr. Langone committed himself to helping other women and their families find answers. He went on to create and direct two additional chronic pain centers in Vermont, and a third now in Enfield, Connecticut specializing in fibromyalgia, idiopathic pain and chronic fatigue.
Through daily patient management, post-graduate studies, weekly community interviews and lectures, as well as medical co-management, Dr. Langone contributes to evolving science. His work brings unique solutions while challenging the health care community to make a real paradigm shift that offers real hope for chronic pain sufferers.
Dr. Rob and his family make their home in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where their hobbies include road biking, taking care of their home and their ten pound Yorkie (Daisy) who nearly has the Dr Rob completely trained.
