Patty Belsito

Patty Belsito is from a small town called Auburn. She also raised her family in Auburn.

Patty wrote this book due to an illness that her son Angelo was labeled with. In the end, the doctors were wrong, and is fine today. Patty’s desperately hopes that by writing this book, The Struggle and Will to Survive, that it will help other families who’s loved ones were diagnosed with Shwachman Diamond Syndrome. There are support groups available to help you learn about the disorder. That is where Patty met Scott Hamilton, the skater, because he was told the same thing. He met Angelo and because of his story, he agreed to be an Honorary Member on the board of directors.

Patty still writes and is currently living in Marlboro.
