I am on a journey to find myself through my creativity.

My childhood was filled with adventure and excitement from around the world with my military family. This was a great experience for me as it opened my eyes to what an amazing, diverse world we live in.

My first book, The Catstone Family came about back in 1986. I wrote it while in the eighth grade for a Young Author's Day event. It received an honorable mention. I never dreamed it would be illustrated and published, but thirty years later I found the book in my keepsakes and shared it with a friend who thought it would make a good children's book. As I went to work refining the story and creating the illustrations The Catstone Family came to life.

While I am excited to be a first time author I am primarily an artist. I do enjoy drawing, but my passion is with sculpting in metal and clay. If you would like to see more of my work please visit my website at http://kerrikcreations.wix.com/home.
