Cassey Lee

Dr Cassey Lee is a Senior Fellow at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, Singapore. Prior to joining ISEAS, Dr Lee held academic appointments at the University of Wollongong, Nottingham University Business School and University of Malaya. Dr Lee received his Bachelor of Economics (Applied Economics, First Class) from the University of Malaya, Master of Philosophy (Economics) from University of Cambridge and Ph.D. (Economics) from University of California, Irvine. Dr Lee specializes in industrial organization. His current research focuses on competition policy, regulatory reforms and firm-level studies related to innovation, productivity and trade. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Kyklos, Journal of Economic Surveys, Journal of Asian Economics, and Economic Modelling. He was previously an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Surveys and is now the managing editor for the Journal of Southeast Asian Economies.
