Kristie Higgins

Raised in Southern Maryland, Kristie Higgins grew up as a horse lover, riding friends' horses whenever possible. Short stories written as a horse-obsessed teenager have stuck with her and are now emerging as novels.

She is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington and a retired instrumental music teacher. She taught in various elementary schools in Maryland for twelve years before retiring. She and her youngest son, Matthew, play for their church’s praise and worship team.

Once “Chivalry” was released in 2015, the book received many accolades from friends and family, and they were eager to learn what happened next in the story. Fortunately, they were patient and two years later, “Wounds” was released. Only one year later, its sequel, “Turn of the Tide,” was released. Even before “Turn,” fans wanted to know more about Julia, Rachel’s mother. “How (not) to Grieve” is her story, and it will have a bit of a paranormal twist to it. You won’t want to miss that one! Most recently, Clear Blue Sky brings back Peggy from Chivalry, and we watch as she goes through some heart-wrenching situations, which push her to grow up.
