As a child my mother knew that if she couldn't find me outside, she would eventually by simply knocking on the doors of our elderly neighbors as I was likely visiting one of them.

I have always had an interest in older adults and feel so grateful for all that I have learned from them. So much of what I understand of US and world history over the last 100 plus years, as well as the challenges of aging, stem from discussions that I have had with elderly family members and friends.

I am author, coach and clinician. My interests include assisting elderly and disabled adults and educating and counseling their family caregivers. I am particularly interested in enhancing my clinical practice and also coaching other professionals to develop entrepreneurial based solutions for the challenges experienced by care recipients, their caregivers and involved professionals. In addition to my latest book "How to start a home based senior care business," I have written numerous articles on care management. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work and have nearly completed Ph.D in Social Welfare
