Jackie Goldstein, Ph.D. (1942-present) assumed a position as a psychology professor in 1991, after earning her Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience at the age of 49. Prior to that she had been a music major (for two years), worked in the claims department of a home town insurance company, spent two years as a flight attendant, married and had two children and earned her B.A. in English Literature. As an infant she was Christened in the Lutheran church. She grew up in a Congregational church, converted to Judaism after her marriage, and more recently has been a member of the Episcopal church. Her diverse education and experience inform her view of the world and her writing. She has also published a light-hearted book for children of all ages (and the child in all of us), entitled "Fish, Fog, Frogs (and other tales)" using her maiden name, Jackie Lutes, as author because these were stories that her father, John Lutes, told -- to her and her brother and their friends and to her own children.
