Karen Dodson

Karen Dodson was born and raised in the Chicago area and began her career as a daily newspaper journalist. A former competitive figure skater, she has always been drawn to outdoor adventure. In 2013, Karen traveled to Argentina to trek on the Perito Moreno glacier and to the base of Mt. Fitz Roy—the iconic peak that inspired the Patagonia company's logo. Her experiences and the friendships she formed in Patagonia inspired her debut novel, "Set: A Love Story." Karen is currently working on her second novel about conservation efforts in South Africa that is scheduled for publication in 2026.
