Julia Colquitt Allen

Writing has long been a passion of Julia Colquitt Allen. She began writing poems and short stories at the age of seven. She lives in picturesque East Texas with her husband of nearly 40 years and one of her grown children. Her oldest son and his wife live around the corner and visit often with her two grandchildren, and her recently married daughter and husband live a few blocks away. The remaining three kids live in the DFW area and visit frequently. They have a clowder of cats; seven outside and four inside, as well as a pair of parakeets.

Julia works at a consulting firm, where she develops learning products. She has a Ph.D. in learning technologies and over 13 years of experience in instructional design and adult learning. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing inspirational romance, mystery stories, and fantasy, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
