Janet Hall Rich

A self-taught entrepreneur, my passion for antiques has driven me to search for treasures from the past. I crave the thrill of the hunt at estate sales, antique shows and stores. Once I discover a treasure, I enjoy researching the item and finding the right buyer. At the time I discovered Charles Brown's diary at a swap meet, I had no idea it would lead me on an intriguing adventure back in time, and inspire me to write a book.

Charles Tell~Tale Diary of 1899 was entered in the 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards Contest. Books were evaluated in six categories and rated on a scale of 1 to 5

(1 needs improvement to 5 outstanding). My book received “4’s” in four categories and “5’s in two categories, for Plot & Story Appeal and Character Appeal & Development.

My career experience includes four years as a legal assistant in the Piece County Public Defender's Office, 16 years as an administrative assistant in health care and eight years in telecommunications. My hobbies include writing, photography, needlework, and genealogy.

I am honored that many of my short stories and articles have been published in various newsletters and magazines in the Pacific Northwest, and in the Good Old Days Magazine.
