Sandra Eckard

Sandra Eckard was raised in the rolling hills of Western Maryland, where she started writing books for herself and her family at the age of nine, beginning with a narrative about Laura Ingalls Wilder. An avid reader, Sandy can inhale a book in a day or so, especially if it's a Stephen King novel, a collection on Superman, or anything related to The X-Files.

She now lives in the Poconos, where she teaches writing and literature as a Professor at East Stroudsburg University. In addition to her favorite classes for English Education and Special Education students, she has been known to teach some exciting writing courses like "The Works of Joss Whedon" or "The Myth of Superman." Sandy also directs ESU's Writing Studio, where she and her tutors help others love writing everyday.
