Katie Tavella

Hi! I am author Katie Tavella and I am thrilled to finally introduce my debut Children’s book “What to do on a rainy day!” Writing has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little girl. I can remember scribbling down poetry and short stories in my various notebooks while living abroad in Italy when I was four, and I have been writing ever since. Growing up, my teachers and family always encouraged me to take my writing to the next level which I am finally pursuing. Now that I’m a mother myself, I have an in depth knowledge of the style of books that appeal to young readers like my son Max. Watching him become a budding young reader gave me the courage I needed to put my own work out there. After traveling all over the world in my childhood, I now reside with my son and husband in Madison, CT which I am very happy to call home.
