Marybeth Jeitner was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she lived until 1987 at which time she moved to Florida. She is the proud mother of David Jeitner, who is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology and currently resides in Japan. Marybeth graduated from the University of South Florida in 1994 with a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Addictions. She is currently retired from her practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is living her dream of writing books in a home overlooking the ocean. Marybeth Jeitner co-authored Saving Libbie the Lobster with Heather Chalmers. Their story is based on true events of rescuing a rare yellow lobster from their local supermarket. Marybeth's compassion for all living things inspired the liberation of Libbie.
