Rick Kasparek is a storyteller drawn to the unexplored corners of history—the what-ifs, the gaps in the record, the moments where legend and fact blur together. He's fascinated by the questions historians can't quite answer and the stories that wait in the shadows, just out of reach.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Rick spent his career in defense, telecommunications, aviation, and the oilfield industry, bringing the same research skills and attention to detail to his fiction that marked his professional life. Now retired, he spends his days hunting through history, fairy tales, and folklore for the places ripe for story—and falling down the occasional research rabbit hole.

His writing explores faith, quiet heroism, and the lives of ordinary people caught up in extraordinary circumstances. Quiet heroes, unexplored shadows in history, intertwined timelines… these are where he explores the ‘what-if’s’.

Rick lives in Midland, Texas, with his wife Claudie and their three pups, Jaz, Zoe, and Lizzie. He still dreams impossible dreams. These days, the adventures are all in his head—he just likes to share them.
