As Coker College Provost Emeritus and St. Andrews Visiting Professor, my life continues to be full. I was able to present in the Aramaic Studies Section at the 2013 SBL Annual Meeting, and that was fun. I have enjoyed occasional opportunities to speak, as well as my regular singing in the church choir.
Family life remains important. Our grandchildren continue to impress and amuse my wife and me as we try to keep up with changing trends and styles. That three of our granddaughters have taken up knitting, something we have mistakenly associated with an earlier generation, has given us pause, for instance.
I continue to hear from readers, and appreciate your comments. Thanks to all.
