Daniel Engster

Daniel Engster is a professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has published several books and a number of articles on care ethics, social policies, and the family. His previous work focused on early modern political theory, including early modern state formation and Mary Wollstonecraft’s political thought. In 2008, he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to the University of Gothenburg in Sweden where he studied the Swedish welfare system and family policies. In 2011, he was awarded the Board of Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award by the University of Texas System. He has twice won research fellowships from National Endowment for the Humanities.
