J. E. Gentry

J.E. Gentry is the author of two mystery novels. "First Thing--Kill the Lawyers" is now available, and her second mystery in the Clara Quillen series, "Second in Her Class," is due out in June 2018. Her next one will be "Third Man Theme."

Ms. Gentry was a lawyer and law professor until she decided to devote herself full-time to writing. She is somewhat like Clara Quillen, but in her books, Clara is better looking, nicer, younger, and much wealthier. In other words, Clara is more like what Ms. Gentry would like to be:-)

Like Clara, Ms. Gentry earned a bachelor's and master's degree before going to law school, where she earned a Juris Doctor degree. She has traveled extensively and enjoys classical music, show tunes, and cool jazz. She and her husband live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where her mystery novels are set.
