Wilma Holloway

St. Louis, Missouri coined the ‘show me state’ and the city made infamous by the 1944 movie Meet Me in St. Louis. Prior to the 19th century, St. Louis had a diverse culture comprised of French, Spanish, and Native Americans. The first World’s Fair was hosted in St. Louis. The Louisiana Purchase, Lewis and Clark Expedition and the Gateway Arch; all significant of a city rich in opportunity and culture. Wilma Johnson-Holloway was born in St. Louis. Although, she has lived in Kansas for more than thirty years, her formative years were in St. Louis. Like the rich heritage of STL, Ms. Holloway’s life and experiences resemble the pioneering progress of St. Louis. Wilma’s foundation is devised of cultural institutions that emulate faith, education, and a valiant trendsetter. She graduated from Central High School, attended Forrest Park Community College, acknowledged her love for Jesus at West End Mt. Carmel and married the late Gary Holloway at Zion Hill M. B. Church in St. Louis. Ms. Holloway is the mother of two adult children, Cortney Jonson and Ashley Elisabeth Holloway. She is also the mother in-law of Moniqueka Adams-Holloway and the proud grandmother of two beautiful grandsons, Cortney Jr. and Caiden E. Holloway. Wilma’s educational achievements include a Bachelors Degree from Wichita State University and a Masters Degree from Friends University. Wilma has enjoyed a successful career in Education Management for over 20 years. She is a member of Resurrection Community Church under the leadership of Pastor, Riccardo L. Harris. Wilma’s faith in Jesus Christ and the presences of his grace is what keeps her balanced and sustains her singleness
