Kathleen Hackett

Kathleen Hackett has over 35 years of teaching experience in the fields of education of gifted students, education of deaf students, and adult literacy. She is the recipient of The Washington Post Outstanding Educator Award, the Maryland State Department of Education Chair's Group Award - Initiative for Maryland Minority Students, and is listed in Who's Who Among American Teachers. She is passionate about helping children become aware of their multiple intelligences (Power Smarts) and encouraging families to have face-to-face conversations about interesting topics. Kathy enjoys collaborating with her husband, Kevin, on BYTES Power Smarts.
