Matthew Broderick

I'll keep this brief as I am not sure anyone wants to know that much about me! I am a 36 year old man from Leicester, United Kingdom, currently working and residing in Abu Dhabi where I am the Head of Department for Science in an International Baccalaureate school. I write for innovatemyschool.com and am looking forward to exploring a wide range of issues across education in the future.

I graduated from Loughborough University with MSc in Science Education (with distinction) and am a keen sports fan - I play, and love, cricket, snooker, football, golf, tennis to name a few. I am hard of hearing and take pride in showing the world what a deaf man CAN do as opposed to being told what I cannot do!

I have written, or contributed to, 18 different titles/books now (for Harper Collins, Abu Dhabi Education Council, Kognity, and Cambridge University Press) and having worked alongside some outstanding authors, I am keen to write more - I love writing and finding ways to explain things that a typical student may not understand. I am currently working on a book of drama that brings science to life - keep an eye out for that in the near future.
