Brian M. Mazanec

Brian M. Mazanec, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University and Missouri State University and a member of the Senior Executive Service with the U.S. Government. Dr. Mazanec earned a Ph.D. in International Security from George Mason University. He also has a master’s degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from Missouri State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Richmond. He is the author of The Evolution of Cyber War (2015) and co-author of Understanding Cyber Warfare (2018, 2023) and Deterring Cyber Warfare (2014).
