William J. Grace, Jr. is a senior vice president at Merrill Lynch in Washington, D.C. He joined the firm in 1975 and now manages accounts for high net-worth individuals, family offices, company retirement plans and portfolios with U.S. Trust Company.
Earlier in his career, Bill Grace was a noted writer and commentator on investment subjects. His books include the “The ABCs of IRAs”, the best selling book on its subject, "The Phoenix Approach", about deep value investing, “What Are You Worth?”, about behavior finance, co-authored with Edward M. Hallowell, and a chapter in an academic textbook, also co-authored with Dr. Hallowell.
He wrote several articles for publications, including the Washington Post, Nations Business and Wealth Magazine, and was often featured in other publications, such as Newsweek, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. He was a frequent guest on TV shows, including Good Morning America, the Larry King Show and the Merv Griffin Show. During these years, he was the daily stock market reporter on BizNet News Today, a national business TV news show.
