Pete Lackey is a leader who is committed to developing leaders who live an impactful life with purpose and integrity. Pete has dedicated his career to equipping men through discipleship and mentorship, emphasizing the importance of embodying virtue in a culture often marked by vice. He asserts that the classic virtues are essential for overcoming destructive tendencies such as impure motives, selfish ambition, envy, and fear that can undermine leadership, families, and organizations. He advocates for leaders to have personal values are anchored in objective virtues, cautioning against the emergence of what C.S. Lewis described as “men without chests.”

In response to the challenges of fatherlessness and the destruction of the family, he has introduced a practical rite-of-passage tool in his book. This tool, featuring military challenge coins themed around the virtues, provides fathers, mentors, and leaders with a tangible means to guide young men toward authentic manhood. Interesting enough the word virtue literally means “manliness!”

Residing in Northern Virginia with his wife and three children, he has taught extensively in online forums and throughout the Washington, DC area.
