I’ve been reading romance novels since I was a teenager. I especially love regency romance, but I’d never pass up a hot Navy Seal, an overbearing Scotsman or shape-shifting feline.

I’d always found reading them to be a pleasant escape-–transporting me to another place and time filled with beautiful, charming, confident people, resulting in a happy ending, That is, until I read the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. True, the Bridgertons were all attractive, but the characters in the books were flawed. Wonderfully, beautifully flawed. And I thought--I’d like to read more books like that.

In fact, I’d like to write a book like that. So, I did. Not that it was as easy as I’d thought. After seven long years, Dare to Love, my regency romance was published by Kensington Publishing.

Certain I’d gotten the writing bug out of my system, I returned to my regular life...until I was stopped for speeding in New York by a surprisingly good-looking state trooper. Suddenly a meet-cute story idea popped into my brain and flowed out into my keyboard. A year later, Catching a Pixie was complete (now available on Kindle). I enjoyed the characters in Pixie so much, I decided to turn it into a series. The second book, Counting on Him, in Roselle Girls series, will be available in 2023.
