Fred was born July 20, 1949 in Champaign, IL and raised in Paris, IL. He is the third child of Cassandra Love (Bristow) and Leonard Harris Wolfe. He has 2 older sisters and one younger brother.
Fred graduated from high school in 1967, joined the U.S. Navy and flew to Subic Bay, PI to meet his ship the U.S.S. Maunoa Loa, AE-8, where they supplied ammunition to Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers and Battleships. After his tour off the coast of Vietnam the ship sailed back to its homeport in Bayonne, NJ. He was separated from the Navy in 1971 and Honorably Discharged in 1973.
After spending a relaxing summer at his parents home on the lake, he drove to Eureka, CA in his MG Midget by way of Canada. His mother had him accepted at College of The Redwoods while he was still on active duty, so he could get out 3 months early. He arrived in Eureka in the Fall of '71 to begin college.
In the Spring of 1974 Fred was partying in Starvation Flats with some friends from school and had a "religious" experience with Jesus! The following Fall he took a class about the Bible, at the end of which he spoke in tongues, and magnified God. A year later he found himself in the State of Maine, running those same classes and organizing Town Hall meetings for the Republican Party.
In the Summer of 1977 he met his soulmate in Muncie, Indiana who was sent to Maine the following Fall where they ran into each other again! They were married in March of 1979 and lived in Whitestone, NY where they had 2 boys. 5 years later they moved to Tucson, AZ where they lived 21 years. Once they became empty-nesters they moved to Los Angeles, CA where they now reside in Marina Del Rey.
