CJ Schepers is a “bona-fide life crisis survivor” and former religion reporter who ghostwrites and edits books from her concrete nest in Los Angeles. During her Midwest newsroom days, she broke the worldwide story about the deepening friendship between a Jewish cantor's family and a grand-dragon Klansman, inspiring the book Not by the Sword (Kathryn Watterson, Simon & Schuster, 1995). As a "bona-fide life crisis survivor," CJ's purpose is to give us hope. Hope in our darkest moments, and loneliest, most terrifying junctures. The Life Raft is her own first book. She has two groovy, grown daughters, three spunky g-kids, and lives with her man Ted and their crazy, adorable cats. CJ's current passion is Blackcat-Whitecat: The Interdimensional Tails, a sci-fi fantasy she's co-writing with her first kitty Emma (from "the other side").
