Jan Hogan has been a newspaper reporter in Las Vegas since January 2000 and spends her evenings writing books. She was first published in 2007, writing as the "as told to" author of "Under the Gun in Iraq."
In 2008, her first fiction book, "Coffee, Tea or ... Murder?" took Honorable Mention in a competition of her peers - the annual Writer's Digest contest, which saw more than 13,200 entries. She is now working on the second in the series, merrily placing her heroine, Abbey Gaddett, in the midst of a whole new set of troubles.
Jan was part of the Las Vegas Book Festival the weekend of October 18th 2014. Besides promoting her newly released fiction book, "Coffee, Tea or ... Murder?" she participated in the introduction of a compilation book in which she was involved, "Messages Straight From the Heart."
