Midnight Waking is the third novel by Mary-Jo Holmes, the award-winning author of Gianna and Brown Eyes. Although her writing has spanned many genres, her passion remains focused in the romance genre. Her writing career began in New York where she freelanced for local magazines, collaborated on screenplays for TV and film, penned a newsletter Musings, and hosted a women’s writing group. As an educational consultant, she prepped prospective college students for the SAT and assisted with their admission essays.
Ms. Holmes has critiqued and judged manuscripts for the Romance Writers of America’s local and national fiction contest. A former regional representative of the National Association of Women Writers, Ms. Holmes actively supports women in writing, and is currently an editor and contributor for the Ladies of Horror and Cutting Edge-Filmmaking, and a member of the Horror Writers Association.
Ms. Holmes resides in Florida and works as a paralegal for a national law firm. She has three adult children, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She participates in various community service organizations, such as St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Red Cross, and urges people to donate blood.
