Buffy Naillon

Buffy Naillon knows that fairy tales and ancient stories are biographies in disguise and that sometimes there really are monsters under the bed. But unlike the easily identifiable monsters in the tales of the Grimms Brothers or Hans Christian Andersen, the monsters she encounters everyday lurk behind human faces. Thus, she's spent many an afternoon, with metaphoric sword in hand, cutting back tangled vines and slaying dragons.

Inspiration for her books comes from fantastical fairy tales, the doodles in her sketchbooks, and the forbidden fruits hidden the pages of old cookbooks and even older stories. They're best experienced with kettles of soup and in the company of good friends.

Buffy lives in Idaho with her sketchbooks, assorted coffee mugs, a few mismatched shoes, and a stray cat.
