Matthew Ruddick

Matthew Ruddick is the co-founder and editor of the jazz website, Kind Of Jazz (www.kindofjazz.com), and has worked as a music critic for a variety of publications, including the Hong Kong listings magazine, Beats, and Escape travel magazine. He lives in London, and works in the finance industry.

His first book, Funny Valentine - The Story of Chet Baker, was published to critical acclaim in 2012. His new book, Funkiest Man Alive: Rufus Thomas and Memphis Soul will be published by the University Press of Mississippi in May 2023.
