Kate Comings

Kate Comings is the author of the "Divine Presents" series of novels and "Playing in the Apocalypse," a memoir of the riots during her graduation year at University of California, Santa Barbara. A single mom, Kate raised her daughter in a creekside cabin near the California coast. When she wasn’t transcribing medical reports and billing insurance companies, Kate would head into the Los Padres National Forest for solo backpacking treks with only her dog for company. She lives and writes in Portland, Oregon, in a tiny blue cottage with purple trim. She loves hiking with her camera in the Columbia River Gorge.
