Lizzie Newell

Lizzie Newell, artist and author, writes science fiction exploring what society could be. She’s particularly interested in the intersections between marriage, procreation, and economics. Most of her stories are set on the planet Fenria, a maritime world with a matriarchal society, although one much like Alaska. She splits her time between Colorado and her home in Alaska. In addition to writing, she designs and crafts models and sculptures out of paper, literally designing planets.
