Kathryn Kurth Scudder

Author Kathryn Kurth Scudder has written and published four books. They are "Everyday Prayers and More," "Prayer Thoughts for Every Day," "Prayers, People and Places," and "Looking to Jesus." She is a strong believer in the power of prayer and in salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Kathryn obtained degrees from Hope College and Wayne State University. She taught in Detroit area schools for over thirty years and worked as an administrative church secretary for five additional years. Her interests include being active in her church and a local writing group. She has volunteered in the spiritual support department of a local hospital for many years.

Kathryn and her late husband, Kenneth Scudder, raised four children and have nine grandchildren. Kenneth passed away in 1993 and Kathryn now lives in an active retirement community and enjoys the many activities that are offered there.
