Vincent Ray Butler

Vincent Ray Butler (1960-Present) was born in Greenville, S.C. and graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1983 earning a b.s. degree in Criminal Justice. He worked various jobs in the criminal justice field including work as a counselor at The Alston Wilkes Men's Home (Halfway House) during which time he developed his interest in writing. Initially he dabbled in writing short stories and poems while moonlighting for a small newspaper called The Torch. Mr Butler's first novel, "Orchids Are Deadly" was initialized in 1987 and twenty-seven years later he persevered to see it through to become published March 14, 2014. As an avid reader of Sidney Sheldon novels Mr Butler gained encouragement that Sidney Sheldon did not begin the writing of the bulk of his novels until after age fifty and took that as inspiration and encouragement that his future as an author has taken a similar course. Mr Butler's first novel was self published through Friesen Press and has since completed writing his second novel. Through diligent promotional efforts of his first novel Mr Butler was gained notice by Fountain Blue Publishing, a traditional publisher located in California who has agreed to publish Mr Butler's sequel to "Orchids Are Deadly." The sequel is titled "The Johnson Saga" and will be due for release in the near future.
