Stanley Yokell

A retired P.E.and consulting engineer, Stanley Yokell is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Stanley spends his time taking consulting work only on an ad hoc basis.

Stanley has dived on many sites off the New Jersey Coast, Grand Bahama Island, Truk Lagoon, Bonaire, The Great Barrier Reef and other diving locations throughout the world. He published An Old Timer’s Scuba Tales, in 2011 to tell the story of his scuba diving that began with underwater hose diving in World War II, early scuba dives with rudimentary equipment, and his final dive with his son at age 85. In 2013, he published his book, Beneath the Surface, fictional stories of diving excursions and the wondrous underwater world.

He celebrated his 59th Birthday by riding his bicycle in a 10-speed coast to coast solo ride which he wrote about in his book The Ride.

Stanley is the author of several engineering books, crime fiction, sci-fi, biographies, and short story collections. Some of his published fiction includes The Ship, Dog Stories, A Little Book of American Haiku, Short Stories and Sketches, The Murder at Plato House, The Murder on the Mall, The Body in the Park, and Drugs and Death.
