Tammy Gold has been working with families and nannies for over a decade, while also running parenting groups and giving lectures about everything from handling the terrible twos to dealing with the terrible teens. With hundreds of clients under her belt, she has become a national parenting expert with regular appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox and CBS News.
Tammy has spent the last few years honing her evolutionary “Nanny Whisperer Communication Techniques” and refining her “Gold Standard Nanny Hiring Process” based on Dr. John Bowlby’s Attachment Theory, Erik Erickson's Stages of Psychosocial Development, and Mary Ainsworth’s Secure Base Phenomenon. She is one of the first therapists to marry psychotherapy with childcare. She has been a Licensed Therapist and Certified Parent Coach for over a decade with degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.
The result is her first book, Secrets of the Nanny Whisperer: A Practical Guide for Finding and Achieving the Gold Standard of Care for Your Child (Perigee, 2015). But - not only is Tammy an expert - she's a Mom. She lives in Short Hills, New Jersey, with her husband and three daughters: Braydin, Presley and Gemma.
