L. V. Gaudet

L.V. Gaudet is a Canadian author of dark fiction, a member of the Manitoba Writers’ Guild, the Horror Writers Association, and Authors of Manitoba. While L. V. Gaudet’s books are geared for an adult audience, her alter pen name, Vivian Munnoch, writes for younger audiences from middle grade to ya.

L.V. grew up with a love of the darker side; sneaking down to the basement at night to watch the old horror B movies, Vincent Price being a favourite; devouring books by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and other horror authors; and has had a passion for books and the idea of creating stories and worlds a person can get lost in since reading that first novel.

This love of storytelling has her working writing and editing into a busy life that includes a full time job, family, and doing the little things to help the writing community including offering encouragement to others in the online writing community and volunteering time helping with the Manitoba Writers’ Guild Facebook presence, proofreading for the HWA newsletter, and visiting schools for I Love to Read month.

L.V. Gaudet currently lives in Winnipeg with two rescue dogs, spouse, and kids.

Dedication / Acknowledgments

I am lucky to have a family who puts up with me; particularly my kids who have given me that special kind of crazy that makes me a better writer. Many of my stranger ideas have come from them. And especially my partner, who is always coming to my rescue when my whole world falls apart from technical and, yes, user problems, repairing and replacing my laptop and recovering my files when I've thought I lost all my writing files.

Except sometimes maybe Roxy aka the Big Dumb Bunny. Pretty and sweet when she wants to be, that dog also takes great joy in being a huge pain in the butt. But really, rescue dogs are great. Get one.
