Sue Messruther

Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Sue Messruther has written many well reviewed books, for her Adult colouring range of books followed by numerous short stories and a somewhat ever increasing range of children stories.

Her bestselling children’s volume sets include the Just For Kids series (in English and French), Alien Caper Encounters series, Dogs, Cats & All Other Animals and many more.

Messruther’s has several stand-alone titles which include Santa’s Christmas: The Year the Sleigh Broke Down, Christmas Home Made Cookie Gifts, and 30 Best Breads from Around the World, hold on everyone Christmas is coming! And in November 2017 she has begun her series of “Pets Sneaky Capers” with the first Maggie and Tink and another children’s Christmas story that will be out before Christmas is “Park Friends First Christmas” which is to celebrate her latest grandchild.

Sue Messruther has an ever-growing list of Adult Colouring Books & Journals which she enjoys creating & colouring in herself, some have space for those who want to add their own doodles, others that are simple for those struggling with Dementia or poor eyesight and then she also includes many images that are more challenging!

Messruther has also contributed writings to the books Thorns to be Thankful For and Skill Share both of which became best sellers in the first week of publication.

The children’s series, Play Time Books, is underway from the author, of which Come Find Me Under The Sea is the first to arrive in this series followed by Back In Time With Dinosaurs and then It’s A Dog’s Life. Titles after this are yet to be determined! These particular books have a story, a few colouring pages and lastly a game at the end of the book that relates to the story. These books were designed for the child who is on their own or off traveling with the family.

Messruther has lived in Cairns, Queensland, Australia and now currently resides in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, with her family and Oscar, an Old English Sheep puppy of gigantic proportions, (Digby is a constant thought and fear, and will Oscar grow that big!) Thankfully, his growth has slowed down now so Digby II is safe from reality!

Sue Messruther is very family orientated and has 6 grown up children which she treasures and dedicates a lot of her books to and currently has 6 grandchildren who knows what the final count will be!

Messruther spends a lot of her time either playing with grandchildren, chatting and sipping coffee with her children or you will find her in her allotment that she thoroughly enjoys and proudly grows organic healthy food for her family. Her job that she enjoys is full time and is looking after the aged and disabled in their homes, she finds this very rewarding and truly cares about all those she looks after and takes out.

She has been asked when does she have time to create all of her wonderful and very diverse books? She laughs and says she gets up in the wee hours of the morning to work on them and often ideas come to her when she is dreaming, weeding in her allotment or out drinking tea with those she looks after in her job. She did say that she never stops even when on holidays where she takes her laptop and voice recorder because you just never know when an idea is going to suddenly pop into her imagination!
