A side effect of the military industrial complex, Jameson Bayles was born at a hospital at Forbes Field AFB just south of Topeka, KS. By the age of eighteen, Jameson had participated in a refueling mission with F-16s over the skies in South Dakota, stood atop an active missile silo, and was the bait in a counter-terrorism exercise with a USAF Security Flight at Whiteman AFB. After watching Krist Novoselic obtain a head injury at the 1992 MTV Music Awards, Jameson decided to pursue the path of becoming a writer.
Currently, he is the poetry director of the Rusted Straitjacket Unicycle Troop. Published in a variety of literary mediums, Jameson’s most recent work “Base Jumping at Taughannock Falls” will be published by Ghosts For Valhalla Press in 2024.
